Join ORSP for sessions designed to help get your projects funded! Workshops are open to faculty and staff – just register via MyTraining. All workshops are held in the Wyatt Room of the Steen Library.

Learn about the revisions to our 2 internal funding programs (faculty research grant and mini grant) that allow more options for faculty and decrease the wait time between applications and awards. Eligibility requirements, application instructions and competition deadlines will be covered in this session.

Did you know all grants submitted on behalf of the university (no matter the value, $5 or $50 million) must receive institutional approval prior to submission? This session details the internal processes and forms that are required during the proposal process.

Want to know the dos and don’ts of grant writing? This session is for you! Learn how to develop for your grant concept, the difference between a good and bad abstract, and reviewer's pet peeves. All you need to know to help write a winning proposal!

Budget Development & Management

Learn how to develop and manage a budget that meets both sponsor and university requirements. This session will cover salary, fringe benefit calculation, capital outlay and more. Also covered are SFA's guidelines for items such as matching/cost sharing and faculty compensation.
